ELLY CLAY NY

A statement of expression and individuality

Manhattan, New York- May 22, 2009 No longer will handbag lovers have to worry about carrying multiple bags throughout the day for different occasions. Crystal Haylett, owner and creator of Elly Clay NY handbags, started her design career in 2007 in order to create the ultimate handbag that women could use daily as they run their busy lives.  The collection allows for comfortable style and timeless wear.

Crystal spent years in the entertainment industry, and New York bound Haylett always had an eye for accessories as well as functionality. While working as a Music Industry Executive and on artist imagery, Crystal decided to embark on her long time dream of creating signature handbags that complement a fast-paced woman’s lifestyle. During this process Crystal approached a long time friend Stacey Giambastiani with the idea of working with her on the debut collection.

While working at Barneys NY, Giambastiani gained an interest for all the elite handbags and accessory brands while functioning in the accessory sales department for Barney’s NY CO-OP. Months later Giambastiani gained the opportunity to work closely with the design and production team, designing handbags and small leather goods for BCBGirls.

“It’s not just a bag, but a brand” The birth of Elly Clay began in 2008, when inspiration came from the urban chic streets and glamorous culture of commuting New Yorkers.  The brand intertwines vintage with up-to-date feasibility and the two traits come together nicely to cultivate an unmatched style.   Elly Clay’s made using the most supreme materials and genuine quality leathers, which gives each handbag a sleek look that embodies both femininity and functionality. “Our designs move seamlessly from work to weekend, keep clutter organized and never weigh you down. Our products represent the practicality of today’s woman and the uniqueness of Elly Clay Designs.”

Marnie Legrand, Owner of BLUE BAG expressed that “Elly Clay has Uber-Cool broken in leather bags with even the last zipper well thought and placed. Very practical line that weds downtown and chic at the same time. The Boho tassels and studs all made with great craftsmanship.” Blue Bag is located on 266 Elizabeth Street, NYC 10012, where many of their bags can be purchased

To find your statement of expression all Elly Clay handbags are found on www.ellyclay.com.
