Halloween ideas from American Apparel
By Sophie

There is still time to get a costume for Halloween and a great place to look is American Apparel, whose line of leggings, dresses and hipster accessories can be combined for a variety of looks. Try an 80’s aerobics class look with their Loose Crop Tank ($15), Leotard ($32) and a pair of Long Leg Warmers ($16). The flashy colors are perfect for a flashback to the 80s.
Also great is the Greek Goddess outfit, with the brand’s top-selling Le Sac Dress ($38) that can be worn time and time again, and put into many different looks. Pair it with the gold Le String ($10) and you have the best goddess attire for any toga party.

For the guys, try the Boy Band look, with American Apparel’s Shiny Wind Breaker ($58) and Nylon Mesh Micro-T ($26).

All products are available at American Apparel.net and at American Apparel stores.

New Armani smart phone
By Sophie
Now those with an eye for fashion can get a tech gadget that matches their style. Designer Giorgio Armani has introduced his third phone for Samsung, and joins the ranks of countless other designers who are finding further creative outlets in the market of technological accessories.
“I simply aim to create a smartphone which is not only an elegant tool but also functional and useful, perfect for today’s managers,” Armani said.
Microsoft produced the Windows-operated software for the Armani phone, and added updated features to the phone, such as a better operating system and a sliding function that opens up to a full touch screen and keyboard.
“[People] want a phone that offers design qualities that match their personality and style,” Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft, said.
The phone comes in a bronze color and will be available in Italy in early November. Other release dates are to be determined. Prices will depend on an individual’s mobile operator, but in the past Armani phones have cost around €700 without a contract.

The Sartorialist, in book form
By Sophie
For those who follow fashion blogs around the world, the latest blog-becomes-book craze is with Scott Schuman’s “The Sartorialist” (Penguin, $25). Years ago, Schuman began snapping shots of people on the street, people who embraced their individual style and flaunted it as they went through their days. Now, Schuman’s blog, The Sartorialist, is one of the most famous style meters. His book has the same quality.
An Indiana University Alumn, Schuman came from humble beginnings with a big vision for fashion. Midwest dwellers look up to Schuman as someone who broke into fashion, without the original fashion background. He now resides in New York City.
With images and the words of Schuman, his book is the quintessential coffee-table companion. Colorful photos reside on each page, making any style watcher eager to create their own looks.

Eye Craze
By Leah
Dramatic eyes are all the rage this season straight from the catwalk. To replicate the style on the real walk POSHGLAM’s got the skinny on how to be hot and rock the styles sported by the likes of Kim Kardashian and Jessica Simpson.
To get the luscious eyes spotted on the red carpet make use of basic eyeliner for the kitty-cat style. To copy this look, move inward with liner focusing on the outer edges of eyes. And for the smoky vibe stick with the best products …see our recommendations to easily get the proper style.

The waterproof smudge-proof liquid liner of LORAC Front of the Line Pro Eyeliner ($22) boasts a clean, precise application. A second option, Ink for Eyes by Urban Decay ($22), doses out both thin lines and smoky bedroom eyes with its double-ended angled brush and liner. With a powerful ingredient of Nylon 12, Urban Decay’s Ink promises to stay in place.
One of the easiest ways to achieve a super smudgy eye is with eye shadow. Larenim Mineral’s rich eye colour in Smoulder™ ,Cosmos or Destiny Eyeliner can get the job done, ($9.49 each).
Finish off any eye popping look with a coat or two of your favorite lash maximizer …our pick, Benefit Cosmetics BADgal lash mascara ($19).
