The stars were shining on October 15 at The Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles when Elizabeth Mason feted a vintage couture Valentino collection.

The all too bubbly Mason, who operates The Paperbag Princes vintage only shops in Canada and the U.S., is described on her Web Site as: “the ‘Star and Style Shaper’ who’s courted by international fashion designers for their design inspiration, as well as major star stylists.”

The author, collector, dog aficionado and vintage fashion maven celebrated Valentino’s earlier work and said she was inspired by the documentary “Valentino the Last Emperor.” The collection was accented with ‘Valentino Red’ accoutrements from Mason’s contemporary couture collection.

Like on most runways this season, models adorned slicked back hair and sexy crimson lips to showcase black and red eveningwear.

Noted celebs included Daisy Fuentes, Cheech Marin, Tommy Chong, Garcelle Beauvais and Lukas Haas. Award wining actress Maria Bello accepted the Los Angeles Spirit Award for Style and Substance to honor her philanthropy work and staunch support for L.A. based fashion designers.
