FragranceMANIA

AllperfumeIf you’re on the fence for a distinct scent, here’s a crash course on the abundant ways of wearing one. First off, perfume is classified by the amount of perfume oil it contains. In other words, a concentrated perfume contains roughly 15 percent to 25 percent of perfumed oil. An eau de perfume contains slightly less; the range is between 8 percent to15 percent. The most widespread form of fragrance is the eau de perfume. Why? It provides an enduring aroma and runs less than extract perfume. Perfume is typically made by combining fragrance oils with ethyl alcohol and water into a substance which ages for some time, before it’s filtered and bottled. Of the countless methods to smell nice, below is an assortment of what’s dandy in the world of fragrance.

EAU DE PERFUME

A recent addition to fine fragrance is Nouveau Paris Les Fleurs’ Eau De Parfum($55). Nouveau Paris gathers their inspiration via the globe, using 60 different ingredients for each individual bottle.

ROLL-ON PERFUME

Inspire your inner sommelier with Salud Wine Aromas: MERLOT Rollette Perfume ($22), handcrafted aromas made with a blend of fragrance and organic essential oils.

EAU DE TOILETTE

A light scent that contains between four percent and 10 percent of perfumed oil is Benefit Cosmetics something about Sophia eau de toilette ($36), a blend of sweet floral and vanilla with a dash of mango.

SOLID PERFUME

Danielle Letourneau, Marketing Manager for Auric Blends, explains the difference between a liquid and solid perfume. “The solid perfume has a base of beeswax and coconut oil so it has a firm texture, and the perfume oils have a liquid oil base so they can be rolled on. Our solids, like Auric Blends Perfume Solid ($8), have to be warmed by the skin and rubbed in.”

Another solid perfume worth sampling is Crazylibellule and the Poppies CrazySticks Rose a Saigon Solid Perfume ($16); only good things come via Isabelle Masson Mandonnaud, co-founder of Sephora and CrazySticks.

OIL

Soothing body oils are comprised of a blend of natural oils used for their anti-aging and nourishing qualities. J.R. Watkins Aloe & Green Tea Body Oil ($6.99) is useful for bath-time, massage-time and all-over body care.

MAGICAL MIST

Jennifer Hardaway, Creator & Owner & KLEAN Bath + Body breaks down the benefits of a body mist. “A body mist is usually used after you shower, it puts moisture back into your skin (keeps your skin from being dry) almost like lotion except you don’t have to rub it in. The KLEAN Mist ($10.50) is strong, but it is blended with a dry oil mixture, so it does not leave any greasy residue.”
