frock! by Tracy Reese Spring 2010

Tracy Reese’s Spring 2010 Collection for her frock! line is a woman’s dream with enough feminine and exuberant pieces to last a whole lifetime. With warm weather comes the opportunity to show some skin and Tracy Reese wants women to do just that. The line is comprised of three different inspirations named: “Wanderlust” , “Ladybird” and “Starboard”.

“Wanderlust” refers to the Tracy Reese woman who loves travel and rich and beautiful pieces to accompany her journeys. Animated shades of purples, blues, and oranges are shown and sultry cut-out necklines enhance otherwise simple silhouettes.  The “Wanderlust” pieces are easy and work perfectly from day to night.

More elegant designs are shown in the “Ladybird” pieces which are inspired by British nobility and feature feminine silhouettes. The color palette is more delicate featuring softer shades of blues and neutrals. Sheaths are present and skirts are fuller. Daisies also make an appearance for the ultimate ladylike look.

The “Starboard” pieces are the preppy pieces of the frock! 2010 Collection. 1940’s are the inspiration with stripes galore. The retro vibe can be felt in button-detailed dresses and sailor collars.
