From April 18 to June 20, 2010, shoppers will be able to accessorize like the celebrities for less money out of their pocket with the limited edition collection by famed headwear designer Eugenia Kim, which will launch at select Target stores and at Target.com. Eugenia Kim for Target is the first hat launch in a series of Target accessory designer collaborations.
Eugenia Kim is no stranger to the fashion world. After working at Allure magazine, she began attending Parsons School of Design. The designer decided to shave her head after a bad haircut, and wore a red guinea-feathered cloche that she had made in one of her classes. Store owners quickly took notice of the stunning hat which was hand feathered, and before her eyes, a line was born from the design student. Beginning with two cloche styles in a wide array of colors, her headwear line has grown dramatically to now include men’s headwear and couture and custom designs, and is sold at select high-end retailers nation-wide.
Eugenia Kim designs for hats for numerous celebrities, and has an extensive celebrity fan base, including Cameron Diaz, Miley Cyrus, Madonna, Britney Spears, Sienna Miller, Alicia Keys and Nicole Kidman, just to name a few. With her launch at Target, Eugenia Kim will now be a household name easily available to the general public. Accessorizing can be so much fun, and with confidence, shoppers will now be able to dress their heads and get the look for less of their favorite celebrity style icons.
