Dance For Life Tee

After watching Rent (the motion picture) for maybe the gazillionth time last last week, I quickly remembered December 1 isn’t just a marker for that crazy holiday month of shopping, it’s also an important day to reflect on a global catastrophe that effects millions, each and every minute. World AIDS day.

And the fashion industry is no stranger to promoting important causes. Which is why Armani Exchange has partnered with charity dance4life.

The dance4life organization applies the universal language of music and dance as well as youth icons to connect with young people across the globe, as well as to promote global youth HIV/AIDS prevention and awareness.

Launching on World AIDS Day, Armani Exchange will debut the Giorgio Armani designed limited edition dance4life tee in all A|X stores across the U.S. and at armaniexchange.com. One hundred percent of the profits from the sale of tee supporting dance4life education initiatives.

The importance of HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention through education has never been more vital and necessary, which is why dance4life is rebranding the way the HIV pandemic is addressed.

Hundreds of thousands of young people participate every year in the dance4life school projects, and are  supported by DJs, the music industry, companies, organizations, world leaders, communities and schools. According to their press releases, almost half of the 6,800 people infected with HIV each day are under 25.

The limited edition dance4life tee retail for $32 and can be purchased here.
