NARS Celebrates 15 years with 15 Celebs

Fifteen years of success is a magical thing and when it comes to beauty, NARS Founder and Creative Director, François Nars, certainly knows a thing or two on how to make it work. This past week in New York City at the Industria Superstudio, (Thursday, November 12, 2009), Nars toasted his friends (Olivier Theyskens, Lydia Hearst and Patrick Demarchelier, to name a few) with the launch of his book:15×15.

Featuring 15 photos, all done up by Nars himself, 15×15 displays famous folks like, Isabella Rossellini, Amber Valletta and Naomi Campbell, in very candid shots. Each guest celebrity sat in as an editor / creator including their own images inspired by Nars overall look. How Nars arrived at the who, the what, and the why? He told WWD. “Basically, I wanted people who reflected my taste, friends, and people I admired for their look and talent.”

What makes this project super special? All of the proceeds from 15×15 (including the celeb shots) are set for 15 separate charities hand-selected by the participating celebs.
