Forget your go-to shoes, “it” bag or classic LBD. Jackets are the new must-have staple for a woman’s wardrobe, thanks to the New York based brand, Nonoo Lyons. Designers Deborah Lyons and Misha Nonoo, who launched their line in Fall 2009 and presented their first fashion week presentation for Spring 2010, have found a retailer for their brand: the Los Angeles luxury store, Satine and Diavolina.
While the prices are steep, retailing from $600 to $1100, Nonoo Lyons is unique in its brand concept of offering a range of jackets that can produce an array of looks. Nonoo Lyons jackets are investment pieces, meant to take the place of your LBD or killer shoes as the centerpiece that
creates and defines your look.
For Spring 2010, the ladies created a 12-jacket collection, and made its focal point “Calendar Girls” with each jacket portraying a month of the Nonoo Lyons calendar. Photographed at the famed Coney Island, each calendar girl is adorned in a phenomenally tailored, bold colored, fun and wearable jacket.
