Celebs cozy up to Coach’s hot new Kristin Collection

By Zoe

Halle-Berry-with-kristin-Leather-Tote-in-blackJust released November 1, Coach’s new Kristin Collection made the round of paparazzi snaps over the weekend and fashionistas are just loving it.

Tinseltown’s sexiest from Halle Berry, Eva Longoria Parker, and Amanda Seyfried were spotted sporting the minty fresh new Coach accessories available in soft and elegant colorations like burnished amber, pink coral and ivory. Others are a delicious silver and pewter making the Kirtsin line so easily versatile for day or night.

The collection is comprised of totes, clutches and shoulder flaps that are all so tastefully classic and forever fashionable. The clean crisp design forgoes the signature Coach logo for an artful architecture design and finishes from embossed exotics and rich glazed leather. We love the Kristin Zip Top Tote and Leather Tote with fashionably-fab chain link straps and a sophisticated snap closure.

And we’re sure we’ll see many more Kirtsin over the holiday season!

The Kristin Collection ranges from $298 to $698. For more information on Coach’s Kristin Collection go here.

Fall Trimmings

By David

While accessories are associated with luxury, they are an important functional and fashionable component of a man’s wardrobe. Stimulating the unexciting, great accessories revive the dozy of wardrobe basics.

The perfect fall accessory for every man out and about this fall is a great pair of gloves. A slick pair of cashmere lined leather gloves, like these from Coach, keeps your hands warm and allows you to do things gracefully when wearing them. Additionally, they complement all sorts of styles.

Scarves are the essence of the season and put simply men should start perceiving them the way they do with ties; only scarves are so much more versatile and acquiescent. This striped wool scarf from Armani Exchange has a strong ratio of texture and color. Wrapped suitably it can play dressy nights or casual days, perfectly.

Tie bars are those finicky little things that slide over your tie holding it in place and giving your torso a touch of bling. The truth is, tie bars are far from finicky and bring about an amazing polished look. General rules of thumb are to never wear it too high up, your upper mid section is optimum, and not have it cover the whole width of your tie. The result? A subtler kind of chic, sans used car salesman.

Just because it’s cold doesn’t mean you won’t need a cool looking pair of shades to warm your cool. For most men, Aviators are classic and foolproof. Find a pair that suits you and sport them to work or weekend errand running.

Finally, graduate from those flimsy, useless, and ungracious umbrellas and invest in a good quality brolly that meets the caliber of these great fall accessories.

In conclusion, the trick here is to accessorize, accessorize, accessorize! It’s not just for women, it’s for the  tuned in individual’s out there who know how important it is to maintain a spruced impression.

Message to the Messenger

By David

tote3We’re not sure if you’ve received the memo, but drop the canvas messenger bag, seriously…

While it certainly isn’t a fashion faux pas, it’s starting to resemble a snag in your silhouette these days, especially with a suit or dress shirt on. A crisp ironed shirt or jacket wrinkles and loses all sense of its polished austere when caught up in the juvenile friction of a canvas messenger’s strap.

The idea is not to eliminate the messenger from your wardrobe, but to limit its choice as the favored man bag. Consider the tote or briefcase as a more sensible solution. Distant from arms and handheld, they bring a new form of representation to who perceives you. tote4 thom-browne-attache-briefcase-front

It is remarkable that the simple notion of how one carries an accessory like a bag, speaks of how one carries themselves. This is paramount when making first impressions at interviews or conducting business. When handling a tote or briefcase as opposed to a messenger that’s lugged around your body, a sincere, more elegant gentleman appears, adding to your credibility and style.

Think about totes or briefcases in fine leather or canvas. For a touch of whimsy, prints on canvas have made a surprising mark in the bag market. From Marc Jacobs to Coach to the noteworthy Jack Spade, all have dabbled and continue to do so in the printed canvas arena. Best of all, canvas is easier on the bank and has been the more fashionable election in the bag scene.
