Diane von Furstenberg Pre-Fall 2010

By Faith

00240m dvfFor her Pre-Fall 2010 Collection, Diane von Furstenberg did what she does best: feminine and flirty pieces that any woman would love. Layering is used in almost every look and prints are vibrant in usual DVF fashion.

The silhouettes in the collection are  fun and carefree. Dresses are shown in flowing fabrics with bare legs. Rompers and shorts are plentiful and blazers, sweaters, and jackets are frequent in order to create that fall, layered look. Prints are juxtaposed with knits creating a beautiful mix of spring and fall and the palette of the collection is a mix between bright summer colors and neutral autumn tones. Accessories from the collection are open-toe platforms (great to pair with tights for fall dressing) and a range of handbags, which DVF is building out each season. Berets and gloves are also shown adding the perfect finishing touches to the fall ensembles.

The hair and makeup for the collection was natural and easy. Faces were fresh and hair was tousled letting the clothing and accessories take centerstage.

Diane von Furstenberg’s Pre-Fall 2010 collection is for women who love mixing and matching and who want to add a bit of fun to their wardrobe. More highlights from the collection below (Images courtesy of Style.com).

DVF Does Eyewear

By Leah

DVF_allIt’s not enough for Diane von Fürstenberg to be the end-all-be-all for fans of MTV’s The City. Seriously most of the pretty-young-fans never even heard of ‘Diane Von’ what pre-Whitney Port’s short-lived stint at DFV’s New York City headquarters. And let’s face it, DVF’s done high-end jewels with H. Stern and plenty of accessories and we mustn’t forget the iconic wrap dress. So what’s left? Now she’s getting her hands wrapped up in eyewear. The launch of the 2010 Sunwear Collection is this week both in retail spots and online. The set includes eyewear for sunning/shading and specs adorned with the DVF logo. And imagine this, names like ‘The Wrap Dress’, and the ‘Love Knot’ are part of the assortment of wrap around, over-sized and kitty cat styles to select from. Go mod or go classic, Miss D’s done it all to represent your every mood.

Eyewear pricing begins at $125, shop DVF.com.
