Sheri Bodell: LA’s Glam Rock n’ Roll Designer
By Samantha
While she may not be a designer that you hear about on a daily basis, Sheri Bodell’s phenomenally sexy, sophisticated and sleek designs have been seen on the likes of celebrity sirens Eva Longoria, Amanda Bynes and Ashley Tisdale. Designer Sheri Bodell started out in the fashion industry as a buyer and merchandiser, which allowed her to learn the retail end of the fashion industry before getting her hands in the designing side.
In Spring of 2004, Bodell launched Sheri Bodell, her higher-end namesake collection, which first graced the runways of Paris Fashion Week in March of 2006. The Los Angeles based designer creates her collections for the sophisticated, confident woman. The collection of dresses, tops and skirts are one-of-a-kind in their attention to details from hardware to beading and fringe. Each piece is boldly designed and made to be the centerpiece of any outfit. Sheri Bodell is constantly creating unique silhouettes as she plays with colors, textures and funky details. The pieces are streamlined into a cohesive collection with their plays on a rock n’ roll, edgy vibe that remains both feminine and flirty.

The collection is now sold in over 500 stores internationally, including ShopBop and Planet Blue and has gained acclaim from fashion tastemakers worldwide. Sheri Bodell has broken the “LA” designer mold with her luxe, unique collections full of a little bit of rock n’ roll and a lot of beauty, sophistication and elegance.
Sheri Bodell’s signature collection ranges from $150 to $795 and is available at SheriBodell.com, where you can also find more information on the designer.

frock! by Tracy Reese Spring 2010
By Faith

Tracy Reese’s Spring 2010 Collection for her frock! line is a woman’s dream with enough feminine and exuberant pieces to last a whole lifetime. With warm weather comes the opportunity to show some skin and Tracy Reese wants women to do just that. The line is comprised of three different inspirations named: “Wanderlust” , “Ladybird” and “Starboard”.
“Wanderlust” refers to the Tracy Reese woman who loves travel and rich and beautiful pieces to accompany her journeys. Animated shades of purples, blues, and oranges are shown and sultry cut-out necklines enhance otherwise simple silhouettes. The “Wanderlust” pieces are easy and work perfectly from day to night.
More elegant designs are shown in the “Ladybird” pieces which are inspired by British nobility and feature feminine silhouettes. The color palette is more delicate featuring softer shades of blues and neutrals. Sheaths are present and skirts are fuller. Daisies also make an appearance for the ultimate ladylike look.
The “Starboard” pieces are the preppy pieces of the frock! 2010 Collection. 1940’s are the inspiration with stripes galore. The retro vibe can be felt in button-detailed dresses and sailor collars.
The frock! by Tracy Reese Spring 2010 collection has a little something for every woman who loves flirty and fun fashions. More highlights from the collection below.

Erdem Spring 2010
By Faith

Erdem Moralioglu’s Spring 2010 Collection was a confection of florals and femininity. Each model looked as if she had sprang from the earth just in time for warm weather and the first blossoming flowers. The overall feeling was surreal and cheerful and showed the softer side of London Fashion Week. The collection had a retro vibe, looking back to when dresses adorned women’s closets and when silhouettes were kept modest.
Floral prints were rampant, being showcased in almost each piece. Most were bright and cheerful, but some were muted in black and grey. Dresses were the silhouettes of choice dominating the collection, but separates showed as well as a delightful floral romper and an exquisite lace trench. Hemlines were short with virtually none below the knee adding to the fun and flirty feeling of the collection.
The accessories were fantastic with floral Mary-Jane wedges taking centerstage and round, thick-framed sunglasses showing in black or in a floral print to match the dresses.
For beauty, the models were fresh-faced continuing the trend for Spring. Less was more and the lips were a pale pink. The hair was tied up in a sleek, yet slightly undone chignon showing women everywhere that pulled-up hair can be fun and not always severe.
For Spring 2010, Erdem Moralioglu is showing women that elegance is back and that femininity is of the utmost importance.
