Walkin' in LA
By Michelle
Sisters, Megan, Katelyn and Mattison Gelber founded KM2 shoes as a joint venture and each brings their own expertise and training to the table. Megan’s free spirit fits her perfectly as the overseer of creative development, Mattison’s formal education and training in art, drawing, business and marketing, make her a great Sales and Marketing leader and lastly Katelyn who once lived in NYC selling high-end shoes studied Business at UCLA.
The recently launched KM2 Spring 2010 collection features embellished shoes with a vintage feel while designs are rooted from their mid-western background and love of design passed down from their father who is a women’s clothing designer. The construction of their shoes assures a comfortable fit but offers ladies a kitschy look with fun names like FireBird and Odyssey. The trio also consulted with fourth generation shoe cobbler, Gregg Boyner who provided solid training in the area of shoemaking. Thus far the sisters attribute their success to their deep-rooted faith in God, so keep watching to see what other matters may be on the horizon for the Gelber clan.
KM2 shoe designs can be purchased at Splash in St. Louis, Mo. and Em & Co. in, Los Angeles, Ca. or online at KM2Shoes.com Prices range from $65-$350
