Better than plastic, bottles that look good and last
By Sophie
Sophia Loren once said that “Everyone wants to be Italian.” That may be true for all the plastic bottles being thrown away on a daily basis.
The Italian company, Seletti, has a great set of water bottles that are made out of glass, not plastic. They add a bit of sophistication to every table, not to mention they are great for the environment. In a set of four ($195), each bottle holds 1.5 Liters and has its own shape. The imported bottles are truly one of a kind, and unlike any other eco-friendly bottle.
The bottles are available through Neiman Marcus and Seletti.

Timeless glassware by Iittala
By Sophie
With the oldest designs dating back to the 1930s, Iittala glassware and crystals are timeless pieces for day to day dining, yet will last for years to come. All of the Iittala products are designed to complement each other, regardless of the color and year they were created. Recently, Iittala has brought out a collection by Tapio Wirkkala, a Finnish designer whose eye for the perfect glassware is incomparable. The Ultima Thule collection is inspired by a region in ancient Greece, and illustrates the beauty of an interesting organic crystallization. These pieces range from $28 to $96.
In addition to dinnerware, Iittala also has an extensive collection of artclass. For purchasing information, visit Iittala.com.
