Design Within Reach, for the home and the holidays
By Sophie
Now that Halloween is over, it is time to move on to the biggest holidays of the season– Thanksgiving and Christmas. And that means it is time to rid your pantries of the old, and prep your home for the holidays. A great place to look is Design Within Reach. With gifts and accessories for every room in the house, Design Within Reach offers a vast array of unique items.
Made with Japanese Washi paper, the Japanese Masking Tape ($12) is a great tool to use when thinking about wrapping gifts or even just labeling boxes. The wooden dispenser can be purchased separately and is a chic stand-by for the home office.
For entertaining, the Studio North Design Trays ($298) are great for use in the dining room as serving trays or even in the living room as a tray for setting flowers on. The trays are made out of aged Douglas fir tree wood harvested from the forests of the Pacific Coast. The combination of the light wood and clean lines makes the trays modern and homely all at once.

Lotus Blossom Menorah
By Sophie
Thinking about decorating for the holidays? Well the time is now to make those last minute decor purchases. For the Hanukkah celebrators, a posh menorah is the way to go.
American designer, Michael Aram, has designed a one of a kind menorah. The Lotus Blossom Menorah ($220) in nickelplate is a modern spin on an old-world holiday standard.
Inspired by a trip to India, Aram began working primarily with metals. He now creates pieces that will last through not only this season but for a lifetime of them. Many of Aram pieces are hand-crafted in his studio, with no two looking the same.
