New Logo, Continued Luxury for Intermix

By Sophie

It is a new logo that reminds us of the fashion-forward boutique, Intermix. With 24 locations nationwide, the luxury retail haven continues to give clients a unique shopping experience.

Blending art, fashion and beauty, the new Intermix ads illustrate the company’s ability to combine all things luxurious with a staff that is prepared to help shoppers find exactly what they need to look chic.

“We wanted the ad campaign to continue to be playful and optimistic, as the first one was, and to incorporate the idea of the marriage of art and fashion,”Khajak Keledjian, CEO of Intermix, said.

“The modernity that we are infusing into these changing aspects is part of us growing as a brand, alongside the attitudes of the consumer.”

The new design was created by ORPHAN, a design company best know for its work with high-end fashion companies such as Thakoon and Hugo Boss.

Gossip Girl…on your wall?

By Zoe

PropArt1New York City based boutique Intermix is rockin’ their next artist collaboration with the Art Production Fund in creating limited edition printed canvas reproductions of Richard Phillips’ original artwork. Phillips’ paintings were featured on the very popular and extremely fashionable TV series Gossip Girl, which is being broadcast on the CW. The paintings were bought and displayed in the Van der Woodesen loft.

Phillips is known for his large-scale  hyper-realistic paintings, emulating the pictorial style of glossy magazines from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. The two works profiled here are called “Spectrum” (above) and “Scout” (below).

Both retail for $250 and 100 per cent of the proceeds will go towards supporting Art Production Fund, which according to the press release is a: “non profit organization dedicated to facilitating ambitious projects by contemporary artists, reaching new audiences and expanding public participation and understanding of contemporary art.”

The 30”x36.5” paintings are available for purchase only at the Intermix location at 98 Prince Street. For more info go here.

XOXO.

Social Diary: TGIF

By Natacha

Certainly feeling the TGIF buzz I decided I was in desperate need of girls night out filled with all the trimmings! After trying nearly thirty different outfits, and still feeling like I have nothing to wear (come on, I know we have ALL been there) I decided on a little purple dress I picked up from Intermix a few weeks ago. Hey, if you can’t go with a LBD (little black dress), I guess the next thing is a LPD. Pairing it with a killer pair of boots and layering a few necklaces, I finally felt ready to hit the town!

Sarah and I decided to meet at our friend, Elyssa’s, cozy East Village apartment for champagne and tid bits. After sharing our weekly woes with the group we decided to head to Kion, a funky little bar in Alphabet City. Although it doesn’t look like much from the outside, a level down you enter a cavernous dance floor stocked with Japanese-style mat dining area, techno lights and bar that has a constant stream of water running through it! Although the night started out tame enough, by 1am we were spinning on the dance floor with all our might; rocking out to Britney’s best singles and the occasional Flo Rida hit. Needless to say it was the perfect way to start my weekend!
