Kathryn Amberleigh: A Budget Conscious Shoe Lover’s Dream

By Leah

k-a-1Kathryn Amberleigh may not be a household name yet, but the designer is creating astoundingly large collections that are both amazing and fabulous for the recession, with her price points hovering at an average of just above $200 per pair. With a large array of flats, wedges, peep-toes and pumps, every shoe-a-holic can get her bearings with this great up and coming designer.

Designer Kathryn works with a large color scheme, with bold caged heels and more muted toned flats, to name a few. And not only does she play with color, but texture in each of her designs, giving her shoes depth, dimension and a definite need for a second take. The designer really takes a large focus on bringing new styles to the footwear world, which at sometimes can appear oversaturated. Her architecture in each pair is well thought out, and the designs are skillfully put together and executed. Recently opening a store in the heart of New York City, the designer is definitely making moves in the footwear world. Drawing inspiration from the 80s and Old Hollywood Glamour, her selection of footwear takes a modern approach to shoes with a vintage feel. Being moderately priced, the shoes are recessionista friendly, and while they have edge, they are classic enough to withstand the test of time, and remain favorites in your closet.
