Jasmine di Milo | LFW
By Kaz Longe

The Jasmine di Milo spring/summer 2010 collection was all about being ultra feminine but tough. Being the daughter of one of the biggest luxury stores in Europe -Harrods- Jasmine Al Fayed has surely spent enough time studying how to use and wear luxury fabrics. Most of the pieces from this collection have a sexual subtext, and give off a certain toughness that was unexpected. From a strapless dress made entirely out of burgundy leather to a floor length chiffon dress edged out with a cropped fringed leather jacket, all sculptured to accentuate femininity. There were also a variety of shorts, leather skirts and body con dresses for those that love to rock the modern viking look.

Michelle Williams spotted @ LFW
By Kaz Longe

Shane and Falguni Peacok with Michelle Williams, LFW
Michelle Williams was spotted at the Falguni and Shane Peacock Show sitting front row amongst a few other celebs. Wearing a Falguni and Shane Peacock short dress, it could have been deemed tacky given the occasion but she seemed to have pulled it off.
After the show, Michelle was all smiles, snapping photos with the designer duo. From the huge smile she was giving, it was clear that Falguni and Shane have managed to bag another celebrity fan.

Fairytale at Mulberry |LFW
By Kaz Longe

The invite for the Mulberry show (lots of pastel coloured balloons and carousel horses), had set the tone for what to expect. With a fairground rustlers voice constantly speaking in the background, you felt like you were either at a circus show or in a child’s storybook.
A model walking the most adorable pug melted even the hardest of hearts. Clothes spotted were a belted denim jacket and skinny pants, bows on dresses and skirts, blurry floral fabrics in a dress and then later in a playsuit. Little pastel roses adorned a cropped jacket and then a dress. But the most attractive were definitely the accessories. Fringe on suede boots, jackets and oh, the bags. It is official, there is now a new ‘IT’ bag called the Alexa. It has been named after a British Style icon and party girl, Alexa Chung.
So now that you know what to expect, there will be no credit crunch excuses, start the saving now because this circus will definitely be at fever pitch come spring.

Catsuits ready, its War | Pam Hogg
By Kaz Longe

If you have never heard the name- Pam Hogg- then now is the time to get familiar. Famous for her rebellious fashion and her love to shock, this was one of the hotly anticipated shows this season. With a host of celebs sitting front row, we were treated to another unexpected show.
In what couldn’t even be called underwear but was in fact a strip of black ribbon covering crucial areas was the outfit that opened the show, and was worn by legendary model- Liberty Ross. Immediately followed by other thought provoking outfits all set in futuristic tones-of course. The collection entitled Goddess of War had catsuits with draped jerseys, bodysuits in graphic patterns, frilly dresses and more. The emphasis on figure and shape makes this very wearable for those that love and want to shock.

Is White is the new Black?| Osman
By Kaz Longe

Osman Yousefzada has decided that from this season onwards he wants to be known only as Osman. Not surprising, given that Yousefzada had always been somewhat of a tongue twister.
With a packed tent and a front row boasting with names of who is who in the London Fashion Scene, Osman was set to make a statement. Is white the new black? This was a very clean, graphic all white collection. From the neck to ankle dress with square pockets in gold fabrics, a long white dress complemented by a white and gold stole, a high waisted full- legged trouser and full mini skirts, you cant help but feel very girlish and glamorous. His name might have been shortened but his point could not have been any more clearer.

Bright Whites Big City | Eun Jeong
By Kaz Longe

Despite the doom of the postal strike and stacks of invites sitting idly in some sorting bin, the show must go on. Eun Jeong showing her second on-schedule show sure knows how to brighten a mood. An all-white pallette of her signature tailoring- draping, showed off a lot of visual layering in every outfit. Lace yet heavy short dresses, sculptured jackets shimmered as they grew even more elaborate with each passing outfit. Fluffed out hair, laced-up shoes complemented by ankle socks gave it that rebellious tone that Londoners love to feel. Constantly offsetting the tone were the odd glimmers of silver in light flocking and that short sleeve ruffled dress that could give the LBD something to think about.
Once again, the focus on shoulders here is very strong. This shows that this trend will not be going away anytime soon, at least not for another season in London.
