Katy Perry’s puuuurfect tee

By Zoe

Some may say songstress Katy Perry is the cat’s meow. And now she wears that moniker on her sleeve, errrrr, ummm, top we mean.

But beyond the frisky feline connotation, Perry actually was wearing Trash & Luxury Cat’s Meow tee last week in L.A. This fun fierce top won’t totally break the bank, and completely looks stylin’ for the gym, yoga or playing Wii chez vous.

Perry wore the top with Capri style leggings and runners, but you could pass it off with cute boyshorts or cigarette jeans. Whatever the choice, it’ll all look hot with this print of Julie Newmar as Catwoman.

POSHGLAM's Best Dressed at the Golden Globes

By Samantha

I’m not sure what was more exciting about this year’s Golden Globes: watching the starlets prance down the red carpet, or learning of Joan River’s return to it. Either way, the 2010 Golden Globes brought an array of colorful gowns and no real misses. All in all, everyone looked fabulous but of course, we couldn’t help but pick favorites.

Two of our favorite “Friends” were there, and while dressed black, these ladies looked anything but basic. Courteney Cox looked like a true cougar in her Victoria Beckham dress and Jimmy Choo “Zena” sandals and “Tube” clutch. Jennifer Aniston looked jaw-dropping as she presented in a Valentino dress, Versace heels and Fred Leighton jewels.

Julia Roberts, a personal favorite and no stranger to the red carpet looked super chic in a vintage Yves Saint Laurent frock and a statement necklace from Van Cleef and Arpels. Olivia Wilde made her black look dazzle in a gown by Gucci, Jimmy Choo “Zena” sandals (same as Cox), jewels by Tiffany and Co., and a Judith Leiber clutch. We’re even more excited that Wilde is donating her dress to be auctioned off in a benefit for Haiti. Visit ArtistsforPeaceandJustice.com for more information.

Newcomer Lea Michelle looked like a real princess in an Oscar de la Renta number complimented with Chopard jewels, a Fendi bag and Christian Louboutin heels. Black has never been less boring.

White also made a big foray on the red carpet. Kate Hudson looked refined and classic in a Marchesa gown and Stephen Russell bracelet. Starlet Kristen Bell opted for a shorter number with her Jasmine di Milo dress, which she accessorized with a Judith Leiber clutch, Van Cleef and Arpels jewels and Christian Louboutin heels. Calista Flockhart, who I miss seeing on the carpet, channeled a vintage vibe in her Alberta Ferretti dress and Judith Leiber clutch. Jaime Pressly made her light shade metallic and stunned in a Kevan Hall dress and Lauren Merkin clutch.

There were quite a few starlet who dazzled in bold colors on the carpet. These are usually my favorite, and it is even better when the colors are on celebrities that you would not expect. Cameron Diaz defined bold in a stunning Alexander McQueen dress, Roger Vivier clutch, Ferragamo pumps and a vintage Van Cleef and Arpels rope bracelet. Big winner of the night, Sandra Bullock, looked like an iconic movie star in her Bottega Veneta gown and clutch with sky-high Casadei shoes. Fashionista Zoe Saldana chose a fab berry colored hue in her Louis Vuitton dress and Brian Atwood shoes.

Another big trend at the Golden Globes was golden dresses, which makes sense given the occasion. If only there was better weather, the gold would have really been able to shine in the January sunlight. Hollywood’s darling, Drew Barrymore, another winner, channeled old Hollywood glamour in an Atelier Versace gown coupled with Jimmy Choo “Zena” sandals, a Roger Vivier clutch and Lorraine Schwartz jewels. “House” hottie Jennifer Morrison looked graceful in a Luis Antonio dress, Judith Leiber clutch and Martin Katt baubles. Her red lips were the perfect compliment. Another winner of the night, Mo’Nique looked just as golden and beautiful as her statue. Nicole Kidman rocked the red carpet in a dress by Nina Ricci and Fred Leighton jewels. These ladies proved that gold is always in style, and really can look good on anyone.

Not far off from the above spectrum, there were quite a few pink and grey hued dresses that wowed on the red carpet. It may have been raining in Los Angeles, but these ladies are definitely ready for spring-time to roll around and showcased some trends that we are sure to be seeing more often. Emily Blunt looked feminine, fresh and fantastic in a Dolce and Gabbana dress, Jimmy Choo “Quinze” booties and a Ferragamo miniaudiere. One of our favorite celebrity moms looked stunning in an Atelier Versace dress, Judith Leiber clutch and Bulgari jewels giving us a newfound love for grey. Maggie Gyllenhaal spiced up the red carpet in a RM by Roland Mouret “Sirens” mermaid gown, Prada shoes and Bulgari jewelry.

No Golden Globes is complete without Miss Golden Globe. This year, the honor was given to Hollywood celebrity Alfre Woodard’s daughter Mavis Spencer. The two posed together for a picturesque look in berry shades. Woodard chose a purple gown with Jimmy Choo “Perfume” sandals, while her daughter opted for something peachier. Miss Golden Globe and her mother looked absolutely phenomenal, and closed the gap between Hollywood icons and starlets. The Golden Globes were definitely a fashion hit this year, despite the rain. Stay tuned for more red carpet coverage, after all, the Academy Awards are just around the corner.

The people have chosen, fashionably

By Zoe

Carrie Underwood rocked the People’s Choice Awards this Sunday in Los Angeles, and we just love what she wore.

The Grammy award-winning Underwood, who picked up three awards last year, was selected as favorite country artist.

Whether she wins or loses, it’s what Underwood wore that makes her stands out, and the confidence she always displays on the red carpet.

The newly engaged singer injected some edge to her Christian Cota cocktail dress with Rock & Republic’s “Paulina” chiffon heels. Carrie completed her picture-perfect look with Lauren Merkin’s “Eve” clutch. It’s elegant, pretty and available to you at the click of a mouse.

The Rock & Republic Paulina retails for $350 and are available at www.shop.rockandrepublic.com or here. The eve clutch sells for $180 and can be found at www.laurenmerkin.com or here.

Man of Style | David Beckham

By Jessica

I, POSHGLAMer Jessica, have been given the very difficult task of picking a man of style, whose boyishly handsome looks, and debonair swagger, makes him fashion’s most irresistible icon. Sigh, what a tough job I have.

The first deliciously dapper heartthrob is none other than soccer stud, David Beckham. It’s only fitting that the husband of POSH Spice is as fashion-forward and suave as his wife, Victoria Beckham. In impeccably-fitting suits and a signature buzzed cut, David Beckham refuses to be upstaged by his fashionable other half.

Whether watching the L.A. Lakers game in a fitted tee, cap and aviator sunglasses or working the red-carpet in a monochromatic three piece suit, Beckham’s style aesthetic is always masculine, seductive and confident.

He is as comfortable in his soccer uniform as he is in a dashing, tailored suit or an unbuttoned plaid shirt and motorcycle jacket with a rugged pair of jeans.

Suave, without a doubt, but we love his scantily-clad, drool-inducing Emporio Armani underwear ads just a little more than his clothing choices.

Currently playing in the World Cup for AC Milan, Beckham is also kick-starting a career as a fashion designer. In the past week, the rumor mill has been abuzz with reports that David Beckham is following in the Louboutin-clad footsteps of wife, Victoria, and trying his hand at designing.

Beckham previously designed a Fall Men’s line for Adidas Originals by Originals which included classic-American designs and brightly-colored sneakers. His latest design venture will include a Full Men’s collection for the couples’ line, dVb, which leaves us with one question: do the clothes come with a set of chiseled abs? If so, women, everywhere, will be in line to buy his designs for their significant other.

Do you have a stylish celeb you’d like to nominate for Stylish Man of the Week? Email Jessica@poshglam.com with your suggestions and tell me why your man deserves recognition.

Finding Amor at Mona Moore

By Samantha

Picture 3

Hailing from Canada, Mona Moore is a phenomenal boutique housing top accessory lines including Dries Van Noten, Rick Owens, Pierre Hardy, Lanvin and Marni, to name a few. Southern Californians were lucky to be graced with a store front in Venice recently, and accessory shopping has not been the same since as Mona Moore has brought so many up and coming designers to the forefront of shopper’s imaginations.

Picture 2

Mona Moore buyers shop for their fictional “love” and what she would wear, and translate this into the pieces that they house in their store for their consumers. The greatest part is that many of the pieces from high-end collections seen at Mona Moore are not seen at any other stateside boutiques. Their buyers are really in touch with trends and what is next, choosing only a few of the greatest pieces from each collection they sell, all pieces that they personally love as well.

At Mona Moore, the story is all about love. From walking in to leaving the store, the sales people are beyond helpful, the store is full of treasures and it is easy to have a love affair with at least one item in the store. Or you maybe a little naughty and need to have some side affairs with some other beautiful items as picking one may prove difficult. Mona Moore has hit the Southern California scene running, and definitely has proven a destination spot for not only travelers, but also local Los Angeles shoppers, to create their own love story.
