A look into Louis Vuitton, the book
By Leah
The new Louis Vuitton book, “Louis Vuitton: Art, Fashion and Architecture”, (Rizzoli) has hit shelves, meaning Vuitton fans will probably want to pick up something other than luggage from this luxury brand. For years the company has stamped LV on leather bags and totes, now readers can learn how one of the oldest fashion houses got started over a century ago. Artwork by Takashi Murakami is displayed in the book, in an effort to illustrate how art, design and trends have continuously been in a partnership with impeccable fashion and style.
The book aims to recognize the artistic geniuses and supporters that have been a part of the LV journey and revolution. If nothing else, the book reminds readers that there is only one Louis Vuitton and that the brand will not be losing its hold on the market any time soon. The book is available for $130 at LouisVuitton.com and Louis Vuitton stores and comes in the three languages of fashion—Italian, French and English.
