Look posh in the Victoria Beckham collection
By Sophie
Well Posh has done it again. The last time she shocked us, she was on stage in pleather and flatforms. Now, she has taken over a new stage- the runway. With her latest collection, Victoria Beckham has redone the simple little black dress as well as jazzed up denim and accessories.
Look number 28 in her collection is the Gabriel dress. Exquisit is the only word that comes to mind, with a one-shouldered long sleeve and chenille embroidery. Black is definitely the new black, and this look could be done for a number of occassions, not excluding upcoming holiday fêtes and benefits.
Another great piece is, again, black redone. Look number 21 is the Fontaine dress. Made of stretch felt, it also includes sleeves. We saw sleeves in the sketch books of many designers last spring and they do not disappoint. These sleeves are refreshingly edgy and more than welcome during the upcoming winter months.
For purchasing information, visit VictoriaBeckham.com; costs range from £920 to £4,990, or $500 to $8,300.

Dope Couture, fashion for the street-chic
By Sophie
Dope Couture is a place where those with couture taste and a dope sense of street style meet. Owner of the brand, Matt Fields, is only 23 but realized long ago that street wear needed to be accessible to the masses, and yet meet individual desires to have one-of-a-kind pieces.
“People want stuff that looks good, but they don’t want everyone to have the same thing. [Dope Couture] only carries a small amount of one thing so that when you buy something, not everyone will have it,” Fields said.
The Dope Couture line has basics, such as tees and tanks for women and shoes and jackets for men. Their tee-shirts are edgy without being emo and stylish without being overbearing. Fields said that because of such a large demand, he and his assisting designer are hoping to broaden the brand to include more complex items, while maintaining the wearable factor.
