Chloe Eau de Toilette: Feminine, Luxurious, Sophisticated

By Samantha

Upon hearing the name Chloe, fashionistas immediately think of the glamorously feminine line that is full of refined beauty and classic elegance. The new perfume by the fashion house, Chloe Eau de Toilette, carries the same vibe as the eponymous clothing line, both fresh and flirty.

With hints of mandarin orange zest in the head notes paired with freesia and watermelon and a touch of sandalwood and iris, the fragrance is subtle yet captivating. With so many different facets, it appeals to any woman that wants to finish off her sleek look with the perfect scent to take her from the boardroom to a night out with the girls.

Like most fragrances, much of the beauty lies in the bottle, and a perfume bottle can sometimes be the perfect indicator of what lies inside. The textured bottle with an adorable ivory-colored ribbon adornment is simple yet lady-like. The monochromatic tones are very modern and sleek. Just like the Chloe woman, the Eau de Toilette is glamorously understated, the ideal fragrances to literally lift the senses.

Chloe Eau de Toilette is available at select fine retail stores nationwide and at Chloe boutiques. The small bottle is $65 and the larger one is $85.

Tweet this Giveaway | Vera Wang Princess Set

By Samantha

Design icon Vera Wang teamed with “it” girl Zoe Kravitz to create her latest scent, Vera Wang Princess. The sheer, fruity and floral scent showcases the modern day princess who embodies both elegance and edge. Wang was inspired by Kravitz’ individuality and one-of-a-kind spirit, and wanted to bring those qualities to those that wear this royal fragrance.

The scent is full of whimsical wonders. The top notes include Lady Apples, Water Lilly, Golden Apricot and Mandarin Meringue. The heart notes are pink guava, Tahitian Tiare flower, Wild Tuberose and dark chocolate (yum.) And the base notes are vanilla and amber woods. Fruit, chocolate and flowers: three things that every true princess can appreciate. And yes, we are all princesses of our own palaces.

One of the best part of perfumes is their bottling, and this one is sure not to disappoint. The purple hued, of course, fragrance is set in a heart-shaped amulet with the top designed as a bejeweled crown which features a gold band and Amethyst crystals. After all, royalty always has to come with a jewel encrusted crown. So what if you can’t dress like a princess everyday, if you can smell like one.

Alongside the perfume, Vera Wang has created a matching coin purse for ladies on the go, making sure that you always have royalty at your fingertips, holding your change. Check out Vera Wang Princess for more information.

If the recent trailers for the Sex and the City sequel haven’t gotten you all rattled up enough, then the new SJP NYC fragrance is sure to tickle your fancy. The ultimate style icon, and persona behind everyone’s favorite fashionista, Carrie Bradshaw, Sarah Jessica Parker has just launched her latest fragrance.

SJP NYC is inspired by freedom, New York and of course, fabulous style with a fruity, floral scent for the girl who travels the world, and owns her town in her perfectly stiletto heeled foot. With hints of wild red strawberries, mimosa, honeysuckle, sandalwood, vanilla and red rose, the scent is captivating, and the quintessential perfume for the statement-making city girl.

A closet we would love to raid, any day, any time. The fragrance is awesome, but the almost quilted look exterior is definitely one to showcase. Balenciaga Paris Doesn't Need an Introduction

By Samantha

Balenciaga Paris, the latest fragrance from the world renown design house, epitomizes a chic French lifestyle, full of simplicity and sophistication. After 12 years, Nicholas Ghesquiere, felt it was the right time to introduce the fragrance, and perfumier Olivier Polge was called on to make something true to the Balenciaga name.

Polge created a scent full of mystery that fills your head with fantastical nostalgic moments and brings you into springtime with a fresh awakening and newly gained light. One of the most beautiful things about the fragrance lies in the bottle, which is blown glass, and truly collector worthy. The bottle features angles and curves as its embellishments, and the top is simply stunning. The real epitome of Parisian chic, this full embodiment of this scent draws you in and lets you out sitting in an artsy cafe in St. Germain du Pres.

The floral scent is cut with violet and pepper, and leaves the wearer feeling as though she is basking in the sunlight with a mild breeze blowing through her hair. Balenciaga Paris is for those that don’t desire to be elegant, as they already know that they are. Just like Charlotte Gainsbourg, the image of Balenciaga Paris, the perfume is a scent that stands alone, uplifting the spirit and defining a luxurious lifestyle that oozes glamour.

Balenciaga Paris is available at fine retail stores nationwide, including Bergdorf Goodman. It is available in 1.7 or 2.5 ounces and retails for $95 and $130, respectively.

By Leah

LOVEFab, fun and definitely what a girl wants, or possibly what a lady desires. Whatever the case, the word is out about the updated Harajuku Girl’s perfume. This time around the ‘ladies’ are showing winter gear, as adorable Snow Bunnies. G, Music,  Lil’ Angel, Baby and Love are each costumed with a few layers of fashionably-savvy chilly-weather attire. Love’s sporting a pair of boots that scream Vivienne Westwood (supposedly exact replicas). Winter time comes and goes, and so shall the Snow Bunnies—hurry to a Sephora nearby as these little ladies will depart rather soon—they’re only in town for a limited time.

Harajuku Lovers Snow Bunnies retail for $30 each, shop Sephora.com.

Fashion Does Fragrance

By Leah

blumarineFashion house Blumarine is known for its feminine style from famed Italian designer Anna Molinari. This coming season the label introduces a very lady-like eau de parfum, Bellissima, a floral musk-like scent that definitely indentifies itself as a fall must have. As this is the brand’s first perfume underneath new licensing arrangements (with ITF), beauty savants hope it’ll be just as perfect as their ready-to-wear. Developed by perfumer Sophie Labbé, Bellissima contains notes of ginger, dewdrop, grapefruit and orange—to name a few.

Bellissima eau de parfum arrives in stores (Neiman Marcus, Sephora and Nordstrom) this October, and pricing begins at $70. In addition to the perfume keep an eye out for a slew of bath and body (think creams and lotions) accoutrements.

It’s Warhol Time: Back in Action with Bond No. 9

By Leah

AWSuccessPerfumeCalling all Andy Warhol fans, if you’re a die-hard collector something brand-new is here. Haute and funky perfumery Bond No.9 releases their latest invention—in ode to Mr. Warhol—Andy Warhol Success is a Job in New York ($145). Undeniably it’s the longest name for a perfume, just part of the ongoing series of Warhol collectibles by Bond No. 9. The bottle speaks volumes in illustrating one of Warhol’s iconic subjects, the dollar sign, from which he created the series of Dollar Signs in1981. The smell carries top notes of coriander, mandarin and cardamom that head into a floral burst of jasmine, rose and plum and end with an oriental base. Success is an aroma worthy to carry the name associated with dollar signs and a job. Seeing the market is in a shambles, it’s a bit of tall talk for a perfume established around money. Then again, Success is slated for shelves October 1, so perhaps Bond No. 9 is predicting a turn in the economy. Let’s wait and see.

Bond No. 9 receives snaps from mother earth. Why? Bring in any empty perfume bottle to one of their stores or counters at Saks Fith Avenues’ nationwide and they’ll recycle it for free—and for doing your do-good-green-deed, Bond No. 9 will gift you a refillable pocket spray.

Modern meets LUXE in Perfume a la Memoire Liquide Bespoke Perfumery

By Leah

Memoire Liquide Bespoke Perfumery Trio

Stash that same-old-boring-and-loaded-with-too-much-alcohol-perfume for a roll-on of Memoire Liquide Bespoke Perfume. This stuff is high class (and were not talking that of the HOTlanta Housewives), for the discerning client of fine fragrance. Tons of fragrance bases are available to select from, but the real fun is uncovering a customized, bespoke, formula. Once a desired scent is concocted, it sits on file for future replenishment. The concept of Memoire Liquide Bespoke Perfumery is actually quite elementary, combine the elements of smell with memories and presto, the outcome is a made-to-order aroma. Why this perfumery is top-notch? It’s their keen attention to detail (impeccable service meets timeless elegance) and their rare selection of base notes. And if you like lotions and potions (e.g., massage oils) its doable pulling from what is already on file.
