POSHGLAM: What is the current trend for eye color?

Petra Strand: Vintage glamour—sexy, sizzling eyes with soft seamless blending so that eye makeup looks polished. POSHGLAM: For lips are we seeing dark shades or is the nude lip hot again?

PS: We are seeing both but it is the texture that is really interesting here. We’re seeing a nude glaze where it is like a transparent tint that gives a sexy nude sheen. Leanen & maxi clear lip booster ($18, each) are the yin and yang of this look Leanen is a soft neutral with a slight pinky tone & Maxi clear is gloss that encases subtle gold flecks of pigment.

POSHGLAM: What is your top beauty ‘must haves’ inside your makeup bag?

PS: I always think the better your skin is you’ll find that color becomes just about having fun and gilding the lily. I always keep Weleda skin food as my skin treat. A small bottle of Aveda hand cream, I use this for obvious things like my hands, but if I am in a rush and need to flatten/de-frizz my hair, I work a little between the palms and run it over my hair. And then Tweezerman tweezers to give any straggling annoying hair a quick and painless exit.
