Heidi Klum Gets Immortalized in Roberto Cavalli

By Jessica

Of all the celebrities immortalized in wax figures at Madame Tussaud’s, Heidi Klum’s replica is the most dead-on. With her mile-long legs and flawless smile, the Victoria’s Secret supermodel and Project Runway host always seemed more like a perfect doll than a mere mortal anyway.

In a photo opp that had the world seeing double, the German mother of four unveiled her wax figure this week in Berlin. Even Klum agreed there was an uncanny resemblance between human Heidi, decked out in a glittering stretch sequin dress from Roberto Cavalli’s Spring 2010 line, and her wax counterpart in a silver mini with a plunging neckline. “’It is a pretty good likeness but it’s pretty strange to look yourself in the eyes,” said Klum of the wax figure, which was made by a team of ten people and cost £175,000 to create.

While the wax figure is adorned with a silver choker, the real Heidi chose monochromatic tights and heels to complement her Roberto Cavalli v-neck minidress. More images from the unveiling of Heidi Klum’s wax figure below. To view the entire Spring 2010 line, visit Roberto Cavalli.

The Refined Rebel | Roberto Cavalli Menswear Fall 2010

By Jessica

As Menswear designers offer a parade of safe, preppy designs, Fashion legend, Roberto Cavalli, boldly goes against the grain. His latest offering is for men who bring that same youthful, rebellious spirit to their everyday lives: men who courageously venture away from the crowd and forge their own path.

An attitude of valiance and revolution defines the Fall 2010 collection which includes slim trousers in camouflage and plaid prints, leather and wool jackets with fur-lined collars and dinner suits characterized by military elegance. With a silhouette that emphasizes manly shoulders and narrows along the body line, the look is tailored, classic, masculine and edgy.

Roberto Cavalli’s collection is well-suited for men who express their personality through Fashion, thereby setting trends instead of following blindly behind them. Cavalli had this to say about designing the collection that is at once youthful and timeless:   “I wish I were younger and more handsome … creating this collection stimulated me and thrilled me … some pieces will be mine forever … personality doesn’t have an age.” His fearless interpretation of classic designs will win over both the young rebel and the refined Roberto Cavalli man.
