Loss is always tragic, but specifically so when that person is young and hasn’t even come close to reaching their full potential. Yesterday, famed supermodel, Daul Kim, was found dead in her apartment in Paris. The cause of death has not yet been identified, but regardless of that, the fashion industry is truly mourning her death.

Kim was only twenty years old and had really just started her career which spanned modeling, film production, and even painting. She was born in Seoul, South Korea on May 31, 1989. Her first ventures into the modeling industry began at the ripe age of only 17. Kim went on to model collections for some of the most sought-after designers such as Chanel, Dries Van Noten, and Maison Martin Margiela. Her editorial spreads included Vogue, Tank, V, and many more and she starred in campaigns for Moschino and H&M.
